Supply’d V5.1.3: Introducing Bakers Mode, Smarter Production Planning, and Elevated Inventory Management

We are thrilled to roll out Supply’d V5.1.3! This update is packed with highly requested tools, workflow upgrades, and a brand-new suite of features designed from the ground up for our bakery users. Let’s dive right into what’s new!

Introducing Bakers Mode

We know bakeries have unique, complex workflows, so we built a suite of tools specifically tailored to help you manage them. You can enable bakers mode within your production settings.

• Starter within your starter? No problem: We know you need it, and now you can do it! You can now use your starter within its own recipe without getting stuck in an infinite loop.
• Automated Hydration Percentages: Say goodbye to manual math. You can now tag your flour products as "needing hydration" and simply input the hydration percentage into your recipe—Supply'd will calculate the rest! Need to make an adjustment on the fly? You can easily override the hydration percentage on individual production runs.
• Deck Reports: Planning your daily bake just got much easier. You can now select which products should appear on your deck reports and export the report for any given day to perfectly optimise your baking schedule.
• Smart Write-offs for Stores: Streamline your end-of-day routines. Your stores can now perform a "Smart Write-off," which automatically identifies all stock expiring at the end of the day, making it incredibly simple for your team to isolate and discard it.

Production Planning Enhancements

In our last update (V5.1.2), we secretly launched a brand-new version of the Smart Production Planner—improving every mode and giving you clearer visibility into exactly how your plans are formulated. Now, we are taking it a step further:

• Product-Level Calculation Methods: You now have granular control over how your production is planned. Set specific products to be planned as "Made to Order," while setting others to be "Suggested" based on your suggested stock levels.
• Yield Multiples: No more awkward fractions! You can now assign a Yield Multiple to each product. When the production plan is generated, Supply'd will automatically ensure you aren't stuck dealing with partial batches or partial decks.

Inventory Taken to New Heights

Traceability and quality control are critical, so we’ve added powerful new capabilities to your inventory arsenal.

• Batch Notes & Files: You can now upload documents, images and add detailed notes against specific inventory batches. This is perfect for securely storing your Certificates of Analysis (CoA) tied directly to the batch for 100% traceability in one centralised place.
• Smarter Defective Stock Management: We’ve heavily upgraded how defective stock is handled. Defective items will now be flagged within expenses. Better yet, the system will throw a warning if anyone attempts to use defective stock in production, and your QA managers will be instantly notified whenever defective stock is received.
• Zero Minimum Stock Hold: You now have the flexibility to set a product's minimum stock hold to exactly 0, removing the old requirement of needing a minimum of 1.
