Let’s get straight into what is new in V5.3.2.
Wedderburn Scale Support For Production (Private Beta)
We are incredibly excited to announce our partnership with Wedderburn. Together, we have built the next generation of production workflows featuring direct scale integration with Supply'd.
- Guided Weigh-up: Say goodbye to guesswork and errors. You can now enforce a guided weigh-up process, ensuring each ingredient weight falls strictly within your pre-configured thresholds. Your team will never miss an ingredient, ensuring the perfect composition every single time.
- Scale-Based Breakdown: Breaking down bulk items is now faster and more accurate. Put each cut directly on the scales and allocate it to the appropriate product. Supply'd will instantly handle the automatic inventory creation and batch tracking for you.
Note: This feature is currently in Private Beta. Please reach out to our team if you are interested in joining the testing phase!
Production Substitutions
The much-requested production substitution workflows have finally arrived, giving you the flexibility you need without compromising your compliance.
- Recipe-Level Substitutions: You can now perform a permanent or temporary substitution with any ingredient at the recipe level. Even better, you can opt to have the final ingredient lists, allergens, and nutritional information automatically recalculated based on the new substitute.
- On-The-Fly Changes: Production rarely goes exactly as planned. You can now optionally allow your team to make defined substitutions during an active production run, giving them the flexibility to make approved changes on the fly without stopping the line.
Enhanced Cost of Goods (COGS)
We have made a major upgrade to how your costs are calculated and synced to your accounting software.
- Three-Way Cost Splitting: Your overall Cost of Goods has now been split into three separate, highly specific fields: Cost of Materials, Cost of Labour, and Cost of Overhead (which includes things like freight, credit card fees, and duties).
- Cleaner Accounting: By separating these values, Supply'd can now send only the direct material costs to Xero or MYOB. This prevents additional components like overheads from improperly affecting your Profit & Loss statements.
Plus More!
As always, this release is packed with a number of minor improvements, background optimisations, and bug fixes across the system to keep your operations running flawlessly.
